Working Together to Empower Women

Employment

Women are being empowered by working together in small co-operative groups. When proficient after training women can work from home, earn money and thereby dignity. They produce greetings cards, many with hand painted leaves, friendship bracelets, cloth bags and tea towels.

Our Kulapadda Centre ( Gleave House ), a one time church building which we bought, renovated and enlarged, is the focus of craft production.

A neighbouring property, Woodbridge House, which we acquired through Woodbridge Rotary Club funding, is the administration centre, and also has simple accommodation and kitchen facilities for Philip, Tom and visitors.
